I am a wife and a mother. The birth of my first child led to a
complete reevaluation of my life and the choices I was making. Up to
that point, I was a career woman. I had a well paid government position
doing what I loved and traveling all over the world. And at that point
I thought that that is what I would be doing for the rest of my life.
And then things changed.
My first daughter came into my
life. All of a sudden I was paying closer attention to what I used to
clean my home, what I was feeding my family, and most dramatic of all, I
began to toy with the idea of changing my career. I left my cushy
government job and became a Realtor. It was a perfect job for me and
gave me the flexibility I needed at the time to be home with my daughter but
also help bring in some income.
When my second child
came along, I decided to leave real estate altogether. One child is one
thing, but two was a whole different story. I found it difficult to be
there for both of my kids and still be there for my clients. Now, I
spend my evenings writing.
I am an academic and a
researcher at heart. I graduated from Colby College with bachelor's
degree in economics and in international studies. I later got my
master's in national security and strategic studies. I am not spending a
lot of time researching national security issues these days, but that
side of me has led me to research everything else. Especially as it
pertains to the health and nutrition of my family.
God and my family are my everything. This blog has given me a voice to
share with you everything I have learned to keep that family
spiritually and physically safe and healthy.
