Did you know that it is better to eat an orange than to drink orange juice? Two reasons. 1) Most commercially bought orange juice has added sugar and added ingredients, some of which are not labeled. 2) The other parts of the orange have essential nutrients not found in the juice.
Oranges are rich in Vitamin A and C, flavonoids, antioxidants, fiber, calcium, magnesium, and potassium. They help with constipation, help regulate blood pressure, help fight against cancer and viral infections, and protects against heart disease.
We eat a lot of oranges at my house, but one day I realized I was doing all the peeling. I asked my husband why he wouldn't peel them himself and he said he just hated the gunk under his fingernails. I shared with him a trick I have been using for years. I peel oranges with a spoon!!
