Great Christmas Present Idea: Kids Journal

Every once in awhile I come across a product that will blow me away.  And this latest one is one of my favorites.  A few months ago, I was perusing the kids'  section at my local bookstore when I came across a kids three-year journal.  As soon as I opened the pages, I knew I had to get it and I am so glad that I did.

This Journal is called Q & A a Day for Kids: A Three-Year Journal by Betsy Franco.  Each page has a question and it gives space to answer it during three different years.  In other words, you will be able to see the evolution of your child's thoughts during a three-year period.  I love it because it is a way for my daughter to practice putting her thoughts on paper, but at the same time, some of the questions lend themselves to further conversation between mother and child.  For example, today as I was looking over it, one of the questions was, "Do you have any enemies?" I was surprised that she answered in the affirmative.  Guess who is going to be sitting down with her daughter to find out who is this enemy?

This is one of my favorites.  Her answer is, "Dad is brave to me because he is a Marine."

Another one of my favorites.  Her answer is, "Pray to God."

Her answer for her favorite thing to cook is, "Yes, cookies."

Best of all, this is going to be an incredible keepsake for me.  Some of her answers are funny and some are heart warming.  I want to be able to remember that and later on when she is in college or she has kids of her own, I will be able to sit down, read her answers and reminisce on when she was a wide eyed, curious, and smart first grader.

This would really make a great gift for any parent (or kid for that matter).  I am sure you can find it at most book stores or if not you can order it from Amazon by clicking on the following link: Q & A a Day for Kids: A Three-Year Journal.  The book is recommended for ages 4-10.
